The Conservation and Art Materials Encyclopedia Online (CAMEO) is a project of the Conservation and Collections Management Department of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA). Originally created for the professions of art conservation and historic preservation, it is now available to the public as an information resource.
By using this encyclopedia, you expressly understand and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement and, in addition, you understand that all information provided in this encyclopedia is used at your sole risk. All data were gathered in good faith and presumed valid at the time of entry. This information is provided “as is” and without any warranty or condition, expressed or implied. The MFA specifically disclaims any implied warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event shall the MFA, or any other contributors to CAMEO, be liable for any direct or indirect lost profits or damages, including special, incidental or consequential damages, arising out of or in connection with your use of information from this encyclopedia.
As a convenience to you, CAMEO contains hyperlinks to third-party Web sites that are not under the control of the MFA. The MFA does not endorse any of these sites and makes no representation regarding the quality of the product or the accuracy of the information contained therein.
Text and digital images contained in CAMEO are the property of the MFA, or their original contributors, and as such are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The reproduction, redistribution and/or exploitation of any materials and/or content (data, text, images, marks or logos) for personal or commercial gain is not permitted. Printing and limited reproduction of the information and images for personal research or classroom education is permitted, provided the source is fully cited.
