Description
A manufactured fiber in which the fiber-forming substance is any long chain synthetic polymer composed of at least 80% by weight of vinylidene chloride units (Federal Trade Commission definition). The generic name for PVDC fibers is saran.

Other Properties
Burns with green flame producing pungent odor and evolving HCl.
