Art and Architecture Thesaurus
The Art and Architecture Thesaurus is a structured vocabulary collection of over 125,000 terms used in art, architecture and material culture. AAT includes objects, concepts, artists, and places important to various disciplines that specialize in these subjects. All terms are placed in a hierarchical classification scheme that is subdivided into various homogenous conceptual groups. AAT is used to support collection management systems and online databases as well as limited research and cataloging efforts.
