Description
An organophosphorus pesticide used on many food crops. Acephate is produced as a soluble powder and typically supplied as a spray. It is also used for interior applicastion to kill moths, larvae, and roaches.

Hazards and Safety
Exposure may results in skin and eye irritation. Forms toxic fumes when heated to decomposition.
LD50 for mammals =500-5000 mg/kg. It is considered toxic for birds and bees.
