Description
A fine-grain stone produced from the decomposition of feldspathic Granite. China stone contains Kaolin, Quartz, Mica, and Fluorite. It is found in China, England, and Wales. Finely ground China stone is considered an important addition to kaolin for the production of porcelain. It is also used in glazes. Similar stones found in the United States have the names of Jersey stone, Godfrey spar, and Manx stone.
