Description

An indicator of bleach consumption. Chlorine number is defined as the number of grams of Chlorine or Bleaching powder absorbed by 100 grams of dry Cellulose pulp usually in a 15 minute time frame at room temperature. A high chlorine number indicates that the pulp has a high Lignin content.
