Chlorine number

Description
An indicator of agent bleach consumption. Chlorine number is defined as the number of grams of chlorine or powder bleaching powder absorbed by 100 grams of dry cellulose pulp usually in a 15 minute time frame at room temperature. A high chlorine number indicates that the pulp has a high lignin content.
