Densitometer

Description

An instrument that measures the optical density of a material by measuring the amount of radiation that will reflect off or pass through the sample. It is used to measure local optical density on thin layer chromatographic plates, photographic or radiographic films and x-ray diffraction film. It exists also scanning microdensitometer
