Dicyclohexyl amine nitrite
A white crystalline solid. Dicyclohexyl amine nitrite is used as a vapor phase corrosion inhibitor for silver, steel, and aluminum. It forms a thin protective layer on the surface of the metal which minimizes the transmission of moisture and oxygen. Dicyclohexyl amine nitrite is marketed as VPI 260 by Shell.
