Double cloth may simply be woven at the edges or, more often, the two fabrics overlay each other in the loom and are connected in a pattern of selected points by working warp or weft yarns from one layer into the opposite face. Double cloth is a warm, dense fabric that is used for blankets, overcoating, and brocade.
