Description

Green bice is an unstandardized name that is generally used for synthetic copper carbonate, i.e., green verditer. Green bice, however, has also been used to refer to the pigment made from natural copper carbonate by grinding the mineral malachite. Green bice has also been used for green earth and viridian as well as for a mixture of yellow orpiment and smalt. See Malachite, and Green verditer.
