Japan varnish

Description

(record turned off because seems to be same as japan black)An imitation lacquer made with amber, rosin, and linseed oil. Japan varnish was made with ivory black pigments. The hard enamel-like films were baked a relatively high temperatures to produce a glossy durable surface.
