| Uemera's notes | This color is what was called "Kuri-shiba" recorded in the Hitachinokuni-fudoki (常陸風土記), from 721 AD, Japan. The resultant color is similar to that dyed with Tsurubami (acorns). Both dyed samples were soaked into the same baths. |
