Metallic paper

Description

1) A paper coated with a thin layer of metal. One method for producing the shiny metallic surface is by adhering powder aluminum powder or powder bronze powder with synthetic lacquer. Alternatively, a metal layer (e.g., zinc, aluminum, bronze) can be vacuum deposited on the paper. Metallic paper has a much thinner coating of metal than foil paper; it also has more flexibility and resilience.

2) A coated paper that records nonerasable markings made by a metallic stylus (silver, aluminum, or lead). The white coated surface may contain white zinc white or clay mixed with sulfate barium sulfate.
