Description
A colorless liquid solvent with an acetone-like odor. Methyl isobutyl ketone is used as a solvent for Cellulose nitrate, gums, resins, fats, waxes, and oils. It is used commercially in paints, varnishes, and lacquers and as a denaturant for ethanol.
