Description

A tall tree, Callitris glauca, native to Australia. The wood from the Murray pine is light brown with dark brown streaks. It has a straight grain and fine texture with a greasy tough and a camphor-like odor. Murray pine wood dries with little shrinkage and finishes to a smooth luster. It is used for siding, flooring, veneer and furniture.
