Description

Bright red crystalline powder. Nickel dimethylglyoxime is used as a lightfast red pigment in paints, varnishes, cellulosics, and cosmetics.

Other Properties

Soluble in dilute mineral acids and absolute ethanol. Insoluble in water, acetic acid and ammonia.

Hazards and Safety

Moderately toxic by inhalation and ingestion. Skin contact can cause allergies. Suspected carcinogen.
