Description

An organic green colorant extracted from the petals of violets. Pansy green was precipitated on Alum to form a lake. It is a fugitive pigment composed primarily of Chlorophyll. Pansy green and Lely green, a similar plant extract, were mentioned as having been used in the 17th century.
