Description

A class of compounds that are widely used as plasticizers. In general, phthalate ester have good stability and are nontoxic. As with any plasticizer, they may migrate out of their parent medium. Examples of phthalate esters are phthalate dioctyl phthalate, phthalate dibutyl phthalate, phthalate diallyl phthalate, and phthalate dicyclohexyl phthalate.

Hazards and Safety

Slight toxicity for ingestion and inhalationHeated vapors may cause eye and nose irritation.
