Description
A dicyclic Terpene obtained from tree exudates such as Turpentine. Alpha pinene is a colorless transparent liquid that is used as a solvent for coatings, polishes, and waxes. It is also used for the synthesis of Camphene, Camphor, and Terpineol.

Soluble in ethanol, chloroform, ether.Insoluble in water.
