Description
[Air Products, Inc] A brand name for a nonionic, nonfoaming surfactant that will evaporate at room temperature. Surfynol 61 is an acetylinic diol that is soluble in both aqueous and alcoholic solutions. It is commercially used in coatings, inks, metal lubricants, textile finishes and glass cleaners. The manufacturers literature states that it leaves no residual surface contamination but it has not been tested for use in conservation.
