Centre de Recherches sur la Conservation des Collections (Research Centre on the Conservation of Collections)

The CRCC is a research centre established in 1963 for the preservation of graphic and photographic documents run jointly by the French Ministry of Culture, the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) and the French National Museum of Natural History. Over the years, the laboratory's mandate has expanded to perform research into the degradation and preservation of paper, leather, parchment, photographic documents, films, digital devices and natural history collections. It is now part of a larger research center named CRC (Centre de Recherche sur la Conservation) gathering two other units : the LRMH (Research Laboratory for Historical Monuments) and the research laboratory of the Musee de la Musique in Paris.
