Cadmium red

Reflected light photomicrograph of cadmium red at 200X. Particles are typically in the size range of 0.1 to 0.2 micrometers in size. Due to this small particle size, it is difficult to differentiate particles of cadmium red from that of other pigments with an optical microscope. From the McCrone Paint Pigment Reference Set. Sample provided by the MFA Scientific Research Lab.
