Description
A lightweight, air-filled polymer designed as an alternative to foamed plastics. Syntactic cellular plastics contain hollow microspheres. The microspheres are mixed with the liquid prepolymer, then cured into the required shape. Syntactic cellular plastics do not require the gas-injection and gas-production methods used in foamed plastics.
