	A soft, gray-green, iron-containing [[ceramic glaze]]. Similar in color to [[celadonite]], celadon glaze is prepared by firing [[iron oxide red\|iron oxide]] in a reducing oven. Celadon was developed during the Sung Dynasty and was valued for its resemblance to [[jade]] (Mayer 1969).		A soft, gray-green, iron-containing [[ceramic glaze]]. Similar in color to [[celadonite]], celadon glaze is prepared by firing [[iron oxide red\|iron oxide]] in a reducing oven.
