Indian yellow
Polarized photomicrograph of a synthetic substitute of Indian yellow at 200X. From the McCrone Paint Pigment Reference Set. Due to small particle size, it is difficult to differentiate particles of Indian yellow from that of other pigments with an optical microscope. Sample provided by the MFA Scientific Research Lab.
