American Rock Art Research Association

An organization dedicated to the support of rock art research, conservation, and education. ARARA evolved out of the Rock Art Symposium held in New Mexico in 1974. It is now affiliated with the Arizona State University Deer Valley Rock Art Research Center in Phoenix. The mission of the Conservation and Protection Network Sub-committee is to increase the level of protection for rock art sites by improving communications between local rock art advocates and regional and national advocacy groups.
