Arnprior marble

Description

A coarse-grain, white marble with bluish-gray clouds quarried in Renfrew County, Ontario (Lent 1925). Arnprior marble ceased production in the early 20th century. Prior to that time it was used for several buildings including the Parliament buildings in Ottawa.
