Description

A machine-made photographic printing out paper. Collodion-chloride paper was first produced from the 1880s to 1920. It was popularly used for studio portraits. Collodion-chloride paper contained a thin layer of collodion mixed with light-sensitive salts. Once exposed to light, the paper was toned with gold or gold-platinum salts then fixed.
