Description

A Polysaccharide that contains only macromolecules of Glucose units. Dextran is naturally produced from Sucrose by some bacteria and occurs as slimes in fermenting vegetables and dairy products. Dextran is used in confections, lacquers and was formerly used in blood plasma.
