Lanark serpentine

Description
A medium-grain, white calcite with green serpentine clouds quarried in Lanark County, Ontario (Lent 1925). Other varieties have a white background with buff clouds and a lavender background with green clouds. Lanark and North Lanark marbles were used for interior building decoration.
