Description
Pulp that is prepared by a modified sulfite process. Neutral sulfite pulp is cooked in a sodium sulfite solution with added sodium carbonate to produce a neutral pH. Hardwood pulp produced by this method tends to produce stronger paper. It is used in for inexpensive printing paper and boxboards.
