Description
A manufactured fiber in which the fiber-forming substance is any long chain synthetic polymer composed of at least 80% by weight of vinylidene chloride units (Federal Trade Commission definition). The generic name for PVDC fibers is Saran fiber.

Risks
Combustible but self-extinguishing. May release acids when heated.
