Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art

The Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art (RLAHA) is dedicated to the development and application of scientific methods to the study of the past. It is part of Oxford University's School of Archaeology. Research groups at the laboratory include Radiocarbon dating, Luminescence dating, Tephrochronology, Palaeodiet and Stable Isotopes, and Archaeomaterials. Beginning in 1958, RLAHA published the journal now named Archaeometry, that covers the involvement of the physical and biological sciences with archaeology and art history. (extracted from website)
