Red brass

Description
A copper-zinc alloy. Red brass can be composed of copper (75-85%), zinc (15-20%), lead (0.06% max.) and iron (0.05% max.). It is resistant to atmospheric corrosion and dezincification. Red brass is used for architectural trim, weather stripping, electrical circuits, piping, costume jewelry and inexpensive containers.
