Description
[Sympatex Technologies] A registered trademark of a fabric nonwoven fiber polyester membrane. Sympatex is advertised as waterproof and windproof but breathable. The stretchable, non-porous fabric is permeable to moisture but not liquids. For use, Sympatex is laminated to a backing fabric. A lining is then added (sandwiching the Sympatex in the middle) to produce a lightweight combination for use in outdoor clothing, gloves, footwear, and other accessorites.
