XRD spectrum of powdered charcoal
Sample of powdered charcoal from Forbes collection bottle 508. Charcoal contains residual minerals which can produce an XRD spectrum. The strongest bands correspond to quartz (JCPDS file 79-1906); other small bands are also present.
