Description

[Conservator's Products, Chatham NJ] A registered trademark for an aqueous dispersion of BEVA® 371. BEVA® Gel contains 25-50% water mixed with ethylene vinyl acetate and acrylic resin in a thixotropic gel. When partially dry, it is a strong contact adhesive often used for the cold lining of paintings. As a dry film, BEVA GEL can be used as a heat-seal adhesive. Spraying with solvent (water, toluene, xylene, iso-propyl alcohol, or ethanol) reverts the dried adhesive back to the gel for and makes it reusable as a contact adhesive.
