== Description ==

A white crystalline solid that is used as a photographic fixing agent. Ammonium thiosulfate is also used as a [[fungicide|fungicide]], a metal lubricant, and an analytical reagent. It acts as a reducing agent that is effective for cleaning metals and alloys containing [[tin|tin]], [[zinc|zinc]], [[lead|lead]], or [[silver|silver]].
