== Description ==

A white crystalline solid. Dicyclohexyl amine nitrite is used as a [[vapor phase corrosion inhibitor]] for [[silver]], [[steel]], and [[aluminum]]. It forms a thin protective layer on the surface of the metal which minimizes the transmission of moisture and [[oxygen]]. Dicyclohexyl amine nitrite is marketed as [[VPI 260]] by Shell. It is used in antitarnish wrapping papers.
