Polyvinyl formal is a colorless, flexible tough solid. It can be molded, extruded, or cast and is resistant to [http://cameo.mfa.org/materials/fullrecord.asp?name=grease greases], [http://cameo.mfa.org/materials/fullrecord.asp?name=oil oils], and [http://cameo.mfa.org/materials/fullrecord.asp?name=alkali alkalis].
