Cotton flower

Description

A natural yellow dye obtained from the flowers of cotton plants of the Gossypium species. Cotton flowers are used fresh or dried. On Wool, cotton flowers give a brassy color when mordanted with chrome. On Cotton, the flowers give a dull yellow color using an alum mordant. The dye has good color fastness.
