Description
An all-encompassing term for any material used to store and transmit information electronically. Examples of electronic media include computer hard drives, magnetic storage devices (Magnetic tape, Audiotape, video tape), and optical storage devices (floppy disk, CD-ROM, DVD, Laserdisc). More recently, the term has also been used to include Web pages.
