Description
[Exxon Chemical] A trademark for one of a series of cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon resins. Escorez 5380 is a transparent colorless resin. It was developed for use as a tackifier but has been used in some varnish formulations. For example, it was used as the base for UVS Finishing Varnish from 1991 to 1997. Escorez 5380 has a low glass transition temperature and exhibits flow at room temperature on the shelf.
Other Properties
Soluble in petroleum hydrocarbons. Insoluble in water, ethanol.
