Access, Research and Technology for the conservation of the European Cultural Heritage
Access, Research and Technology for the conservation of the European Cultural Heritage (EU-ARTECH) is a reserch project in the frame of the 6th European Framework Programme (2004-2009) executed by a consortium of thirteen European organizations involved in the field of cultural heritage resarch & conservation, coordinated by the University of Perugia (Italy). These institutions are all operating in cooperative interdisciplinary programmes with conservators, archaeologists and art-historians, and therefore represent, in their own countries, an important model for the overall community concerned with study and conservation of cultural heritage. The objective of EU-ARTECH is to work towards a permanent interoperability among the participating infrastructures, establishing cooperations and exchange of knowledge with the other infrastructures in the field, in the perspective of structuring a common European research area. A group of members of European institutions belonging to this Consortium cooperate with MFA Boston to improve CAMEO.
EU-ARTECH evolved in CHARISMA in 2009
