Description

A commercial timber from Mitragyna ciliata, Mitragyna stipulosa, and other Mitragyna species found in equatorial Africa. Abura has a uniform light brown color with a slight pinkish tinge. The medium texture wood is moderately hard and heavy with a variable grain. Abura is used for small carvings, furniture, flooring, and as a structural timber.
