Description
White, crystalline powder originally named after the 16th century Italian physician, Vittorio Algaroth (Schur 1985). Antimony oxychloride is used for flameproofing textiles.

Other Properties
Soluble in acid, carbon disulfide and alkali. Insoluble in ethanol, ether. Hydrolyzed in water to Sb2O3.
