Description

A strong, durable, cotton fabric. Ticking is often made using a herringbone twill weave in blue and white warp stripes with a white filling thread. The close-woven fabric is used to contain fill materials, such as down feathers, in mattresses, pillows, and upholstery. Art ticking is made with a tight plain or satin weave. It has printed stripes or floral patterns of bright colors.
