Description
A registered trademark for a family of resealable plastic bags. Ziploc® bags are made from polyethylene. The bag openings have interlocking ridges that provide a liquid proof seal. Polyethylene is not an effective vapor barrier film. Additionally the Ziploc® bags have a thin layer of Release agent, such as an Amide wax, on the surface to keep the plastic surfaces from sticking.
