Description
A paint made by grinding pigments with a drying oil such as linseed oil. Commercial paints called Oil Colors usually have a high concentration of pigment that forms a smooth, buttery consistency and are used as tinting media. These paints may include additional ingredients, such as a stabilizer or plasticizer.
